Sports Coaching

Sports people tend to concentrate their minds on physical aspects of their sport without thinking about the psychological ones.  While the physical body is very important and needs to be in peak condition, the psychological aspects are as important, if not more important than the physical ones.

Hypnosis has been used for 100s of years in sports.  In the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, the Russian team took 11 hypnotists with them to work on visualisation and to develop the mind.

Hypnotists are being used more and more in high level sport.  Such sports include: F1 racing drivers, Premiership footballers, snooker players and tennis champions.

  • And most important of all-visualisation

Visualisation is crucial to success.  To our minds imagination and reality are the same. So that when we visualise the desired outcome in hypnosis our subconscious mind believes that we have already achieved what we want. Therefore, when it comes to the real situation our mind believes we have already achieved the success that we desire and we will go on to achieve success again and again.

While the above list covers the majority of issues for sports people.  However, we are all have our own characteristics and can have other issues or negative mental thought processes which can all be reframed for a positive outcome.

 Golf Mind Coaching

When did you last reduce your golf handicap?  Was it in the Last few months or perhaps it was several years ago.  If you havn't been able to reduce it recently then perhaps you may have some limiting self-beliefs or another factor is affecting your game.  We all have beliefs about ourselves especially those who play professional and amateur sports.  These may include

  • I am not always in the zone
  • I am concerned what other golfers think of my game
  • I often loose concentration while I am striking the ball.

These beliefs can come from our childhood or from events as we grow up reinforcing our negative beliefs time and time again.  To achieve our best possible performance during a game we need to remove or change these negative or limiting self beliefs which will in turn improve your overall performance.

There are many secrets to success and one of the most important is the attitude we have when we play.  If we are in the right 'mindset' or in the 'zone', then we are significantly more likely to achieve success we desire.

So how do we achieve positive self-beliefs to improve our game?  Our subconscious mind is far more powerful than even the biggest supercomputer.  It is responsible for our self-beliefs (positive and negative thoughts), our long term memory and our habits.  Using hypnosis, we are easily able to change old outdated negative self-beliefs into new positive ones which will enable you to achieve your best possible performance during a game.

I have worked with both sports professionals and amateurs alike. As a result of taking my mind coaching sessions, by believing in their abilities, changing their self-beliefs and more easily being to find the 'zone', they have been able to achieve what they thought was not possible.

By deciding to contact me, it is the first step towards freeing yourself from those negative self-beliefs and to be able to play golf to a standard that up till now you have previously only dreamed of.

Results can be achieved in just a few sessions, so contact me today to find out how you can reduce your golf handicap.
